I have the CRAZIEST week (expect me to say that every week this month, like everyone else!) So today I just wanted to post a few of my favorite photos from the Thanksgiving holiday, with very little commentary.  Without further adieu...

I was basically obsessed with Claire's Thanksgiving outfit - and can we talk about those fox socks??  99 cents at Old Navy!

We played Jingle Bells on the piano roughly 10 times...I think she has a musical future!

And THEN she fell asleep on me on Wednesday, something that basically never happens anymore.  I might be paying for that now, as the last few nights she's been much more demanding with her bedtime routine and frankly everyone's a little exhausted.....it could also be from the excess of being out of her routine but hopefully we can get it back on track soon!  Until then, coffee.

"Helping" me get ready for a holiday party.

Pancakes on Sunday morning!

Running with the theme of naptime cuddles, and rough bedtimes, Claire has been verrrrrry clingy lately and we've been doing lots of wearing again.

She is exhausting but she sure is adorable.  I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and are not *too* stressed out by Christmas' approach!

Happy Holidays, xo

the weekender: thanksgiving edition

Hello, from this side of a holiday weekend!  Aren't Mondays after holidays just the worst?  Perhaps it will make me feel better to reminisce on the weekend.

From Thursday - Sunday we did a lot of this:

and a lot of this (Claire's first Christmas movie, Elf!)

We took lots of naps....

and lots of adorable pictures!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend - now onto the best month of the year!

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.

I'm sure the last week of no posting needs no explanation - i've been celebrating thanksgiving with my family....well, families. I count my boyfriend's family too : )

After a way-too-big meal, failing at 4 am Wal-Mart black friday shopping (but I made it too the gap for 50% off before 10am) , and finally getting all but one person on my list the PERFECT gift, we are finally decorating the family tree with our mismatched, children made ornaments and then heading off to St. Louis to celebrate a holiday well-done.

Although Thanksgiving is a "break" and a very welcome one from work, I think by tomorrow I'll be ready to return to my little house with Darrell and collapse on our couch .

Although I'm always sad about a holiday ending, there is one light to Thanksgiving being past us: I now consider it completely legitimate to blast Christmas music at all hours. My favorite!
